Notes

"Our first Maronite parish in the United States, established in New York in 1890, came under the name of Saint Joseph," according to the letter from Bishop Gregory John Mansour. Mass was said in rented quarters to serve the early Syrian-Lebanese immigrant enclave Following this 1890 Manhattan foundation, Father Korkemaz moved north to legally plant the famous Our Lady of the Cedars in Boston by 1893.
