Notes

This Mass marked the very first time a Catholic community was permitted to celebrate a liturgy blending Roman Catholic theology with traditional Anglican liturgical structure, sacral English text, and hymnody. Authorized under Pope John Paul II’s 1980 Pastoral Provision, it allowed entire former Episcopal tracks to enter full communion with Rome while keeping their distinct "Anglican Patrimony." This community served as the direct structural blueprint for the global Personal Ordinariates later formally established by Pope Benedict XVI in 2009. Mass said at Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church
